Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Newcastle - 23 miles

Our house has recently been renovated internally. It is close to the dunes of Druridge Bay which is a 4 mile stretch of beach . The property is in a rural location on the outskirts of the village & close to a farm which currently does not have a tenant. We have a couple of neighbours who are very friendly & helpful & one of them has chickens which roam freely. Adjacent to the property is the Northumberland wildlife reserve & a variety of birdlife is regularly spotted including Barn Owls, Herons. Lapwings, Avocets. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the village & to the very popular Drift café which is open 7 days a week. The National Cycle Route 1 goes past the end of the drive.
Places you can visit:-.
Gorgeous golden sandy beaches all along the coast.
Alnwick Castle which was used as a location for films such as the Harry Potter's Philosopher's Stone & Chambers of Secrets, Transformers : The Last Knight, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Elizabeth. It was also used as a location in Blackadder & 2 episodes of Downton Abbey.
