House in Bergen, Norway.
A lovely spacious(270 m2) home and garden in Bergen, Norway. We have a heat pump, so the house is always nice and warm (23 degrees Celsius in the living-room, and 20 in bedrooms, higher or lower temperatures if you prefer that). Bergen is an old charming town containing the Unesco world heritage site "the warf of Bergen", and is called the Gateway to the Fjords.
Our house has a nice fjordview, is large (5 bedrooms, 270 m2), lies in a large and lovely garden (1700 m2) in a quiet dead end street within a quiet area. Our beds are flexible: Three double beds and two single beds can be transformed into eight single beds if preferred. Grocery stores and shopping centres are nearby, and you are only 12 minutes away from the centre of Bergen by car. The fjords and mountains are close in all directions. From our home you may walk in quiet streets with little traffic and reach woods, playgrounds, football courts, big trampolines, all free to use.
National Geographic describes the Norwegian fjord landscape as "amazing and aesthetically one of the most beautiful in the world. The icons of Norway are so unique that it is difficult to imagine anything else". Trails can be found in the ut.no app, with GPS tracking, but we also bring our best suggestions with maps. Our house is situated within a quiet area with no cars in the streets and playgrounds. Nearby you will find streets with little traffic, a nature reserve, farms, footbal grounds, and supermarkets. Within 3 minutes drive you can reach big shopping centres and within 15 minutes drive you reach the city of Bergen

The airport car pick up was straight forward. The house was in a great location and it was easy to get in to Bergen and all car parking jnformation was very useful. Ase provided details of places to visit. The house was comfortable and well equipped. We had a fabulous holiday and the house and location provided the perfect base.
The house is very conveniently located outside Bergen with fjord views. Easy access to the mountains and the city. We used public transport mainly although the car was available. We also enjoyed looking after the chickens.

We are a quiet and responsible family who enjoy mountain hiking and our Intervac exchanges.
Magne is the father, born in 1961, senior scientist in forest ecology and ornithologist, makes lists of all passing birds.
Åse is the mother, born i 1961, highschool teacher, likes taking care of the grandchildren, reading, and walking the dog.
We have four children and three grandchildren. Our children have moved from home. One is a teacher, one is soon an engineer, and two of them are doing doctorate programs. Our dog is a kind golden retriever who stays elsewhere while we are on our intervac exchanges. We havefourfriendly hens in a small house in the garden that needs food and water every third days.
