Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Manchester. East Midlands. Liverpool John Lennon. -

We live in a very quiet cul-de-sac. We are not overlooked by any other properties. We have many beautiful birds visiting our garden daily and we have our delightful badgers who visit every evening. We ask that you feed the wild badgers when you stay in our home. The neighbours are all very nice and the house next to us where Vas and Jane live will help out with local queries. We have several dentists and doctors surgeries as well as an excellent walk in hospital for minor injuries. Leek Moorlands hospital is 5 mins away in the car.

Lifestyle

Leek is an historic market town dating back from the 1200's. The market is outdoor every Wednesday. Saturday has a vintage and antiques market and the first Sunday of every month an artisan market. It is a 10 minute walk from the house into town where there are many first class pubs, wine bars, a Belgium beer bar, restaurants serving, Thai, Indian, Italian, English food. Cafes, fish and chip shops. We even have an arts centre, the Foxlowe has a community cinema most Tuesdays, comedy, bands, folk/blues/americana and much more can also be seen at the Foxlowe. Enjoy the cafe or the bar and the gallery upstairs. There are many interesting things to do in and around Leek if you enjoy getting out and about with nature. A drive to Rudyard lake is 5 mins away or you can walk along the Churnet. Tittersworth Reservoir is 10 minutes away where you can enjoy water sports at the local centre. The Roaches are also 10 minutes away for climbing and walking. 30 minutes and you are in the delightful Derbyshire Peak District with many walks. The Churnet Valley Railway is also close to hand. We are 20 minutes away from Macclesfield. Manchester is 1 hour by car and London on the train is just over an hour.
