Our house is built in 1960 with all its charm.

The kitchen is a mix of old and new interiors, a mixture which we like.

Workshop and TV room in the basement. The sofa is a bedsofa with space for two persons.

Near to our house you find the river Nissan. In Nissan there is an small island with a café and possibilities for playing.

This lovely café you can find in the city park, Norre Katts Park.

This is an other charming cafe just by the sea, near to the citycenter.

Halmstad castle

Halmstad library. In the new library you also find Halmstad Arthall and a café.

The new art museum in Halmstad reopened autumn 2019. Besides art you can also visit the cafe, store or join one of the workshop

Even in beautiful weather you can find a nice calm spot on the beach.

Around Halmstad you find nice beaches with wonderful sanddunes.

Crabfishing is a perfect way to spend a day.

More crab fishing. In the back you also see our only island near Halmstad.

You can walk along the sea all the way from Halmstad to the best known beach Tylösand (9 km). This is a view from the walk.

This is a very beautiful rhododendron park just by the sea. You can enjoy booth the coastline and have a nice stroll in the park

In an old stone quarry you find possibilities to try wakeboard.

Hovs Hallar just 45 minutes away by car

Kullen with its lighthouse offers spectacular nature, 60 min away by car.

Near Halmstad you find good fishing lakes, also nice for canoing.

Around Halmstad you find nice forrest for peaceful walks.

A favourite spot, Danske fallen, 15 km from Halmstad.

There are possibilities to find these treasures in the forests.

The Medieval Festival Days at Varberg Castel is in july.

Early autumn is also a nice time to visit Halmstad.

A nice house in Halmstad near to wonderful beaches and nature.

We are a family of four with two adults and one girl aged 14 and one boy aged 12. Ola is an archeologist and Karin is an art teacher. The house we live in is about 125 square meters big, in two floors. On the first floor is a kitchen, a miner dining room, a small bathroom and living room, which have a fireplace. On the second floor you find three bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a bedroom with sofa in the basement.
From the kitchen you can go out to the backyard of the garden, This is a part of the garden with privacy. Here you can use the grill. Feel free to use the trampoline and eat of berries from the garden!
The house is located in a calm and quiet neighborhood, only about 15 minutes walkingdistance from the central part of Halmstad. It´s close to nice walkingpaths along the river Nissan. Halmstad is a popular summer city in Sweden, so there are many nice restaurants and lots of shops in the center of the town. During the stay you can use our two adult bikes and our kids bikes so you easily can move around the citycenter.
Halmstad is known to have some of the best beaches in Sweden and the nearest beach is only a 10 minutes’ drive away from the house. You can choose among long sandy beaches and cliffbathing where you can enjoy snorkling. Let the mood decide!
Close to Halmstad there is also large forests and lakes. For those who are interested there are some fishing opportunities and possibilities to rent small boats and canoes.
During wintertime there are opportunities to enjoy wintersports like crosscountry skiing and skating.
Halmstad is only four miles from Vallåsen Ski Resort.

There are to bee added that it’s possible to go on daytrips to Copenhagen, Malmö and Gothenborg, all large and nice cities.
In Gothenborg you find lots of museums, Liseberg (tivoli), nice parks an a nearby archipelago.

You can reach Copenhagen by direct train from Halmstad, very convenient! Copenhagen is a wonderful city with lots of activities and museums for booth adults and children.
