Our house is on a 4.5 acre lot with 200 foot Lake Ontario shoreline. It is in the country on a street of well-spaced residencial houses. It is in Prince Edward County, an area of vineyards, artists, producers, farmers, and restaurants, with fantastic fishing and boating as well as birding during the spring and fall migrations [http://prince-edward-county.com/]. It is near Sandbanks Provincial Park that has giant sand dunes and golden beaches that form two of the largest freshwater baymouth sandbars in the world, and has hiking/ski trails. We are 12 minutes from shopping in Picton, 1 hour from Kingston, and 3 hours from each of Toronto and Ottawa, 4 hours from Montreal.
  Facing southeast, there are beautiful sunrises over the lake. There is a bright open kitchen and large living room with high ceiling and fireplace overlooking the water, hardwood/ceramic floors throughout. On the second floor, the master bedroom also overlooks the lake; the other two bedrooms overlook the garden. There is a full finished basement that has a futon and hide-a-bed, for extra sleeping. Off the kitchen is a wooden deck with seating and gas grill. There are two kayaks and bicycles available for you to use. Swimming, snorkeling and fishing is excellent right off the dock! Our Honda CR-V could be made available.
There is a new boathouse with an upstairs area which can be used, or in which we might stay for part of a non simultaneous exchange.
  This is a great house for two to six people, and can sleep more. (Our children have grown up and left home - except for visits.)The area is great fun for children and adults alike.
